Time Machine Ftp Server

The only supported destinations for Time Machine are:
1. A directly attached internal or external drive/partition.
2. A drive directly connected to another mac running 10.5 on the same local network.
3. A Time Capsule
4. A drive connected to an Airport Extreme base station should work, but is not supported officially.
Anything else is unsupported by Apple, although there are some 'hacks' that claim to make NAS drives work:

Also, HP recently introduced a piece of hardware that can be used (starts at about $700, I think)

Time Machine Ftp Client

Use Time Machine to easily back up data stored on macOS to Synology NAS. With the self-service recovery portal from Active Backup for Business, you can select one individual file you need from massive amounts of files, without restoring the whole system. With FTP server, you will be able to access your NAS via FTP from almost anywhere in the world. No matter if you are on a business trip or vacation, or wish to share files with family and friends, all that's needed is a device with internet access and the data on your NAS can be accessed in no time. With lftp, when I do ls I get the listing of the files on the FTP server, with their date. However, the timezone is not displayed. On my local machine, I can do ls -l -time-style=full-iso to see the timezone, but this command doesn't work with lftp. Generally speaking, does the FTP.
